About the UniversityNankai University is a key comprehensive university directly affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education, and is the Alma Mater of the esteemed Premier of P.R. China, Zhou Enlai, who is the world-famous politician, diplomatist. Founded in 1919 by the famous patriotic educators, Dr. Zhang Boling and Yan Xiu, Nankai has featured as a university balanced between the humanities and the sciences, with a solid foundation, and a combination of application and creativity. Nankai university has 26 academic colleges, and categories covering, humanities, social sciences, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine and arts, and offers 24 undergraduate majors and 197 postgraduate majors to international students, 9 of which are instructed in English.
